IdeaFest, an annual creative festival that has been held for 11 years, was held again at the end of November 2022. With the theme Reality Re:defined, IdeaFest 2022 carries the spirit of growth in Indonesia's creative industry through the participation and collaboration of more than 180 creative people, as well as presenting more than 100 booth sessions, one of which is the IdeaTalks booth.

Martha Tilaar Group was also participated in the event as one of the speakers at the IdeaTalks session (25/11) “Legacy Brand Walked So Contemporary Beauty Brand Could Run, a Story of Enabler” moderated by Hanifa Ambadar, Founcer & CEO of Female Daily Network. Representing the company, Kilala Tilaar CEO & Chairman of Corporate Creative and Innovative Martha Tilaar Group, discusses the story of Martha Tilaar Group’s journey.

In the aforementioned session, Kilala also shared stories on how in the last six years Martha Tilaar Group's committed to consider new players in the beauty industry not as competitors, but as partners. Martha Tilaar Group wants to act as a collaborator to develop beauty SMEs in Indonesia. Kilala said, until now Martha Tilaar Group has supported 146 local SMEs and created a Beautypreneur ecosystem with the scheme: Sharing/Collaborative Economy.

Various questions may arise, about how Martha Tilaar Group started its business? What was the inspiration? How has the beauty industry changed and Martha Tilaar Group as a family company has faced the challenges in it? Kilala Tilaar replied, “Martha Tilaar Group, as a 52-year-old pioneer, is aware that we are also starting a business as an SME. It’s the reason that we, as a legacy brand, want to contribute to push the Indonesian beauty industry to be as  advanced as other countries such as South Korea and Japan. In order to do that, we have to create an ecosystem from upstream to downstream and to collaborate together.”
